Unfortunately I have a problem with embedding videos and photos to my Posterous blog in the correct size and it's driving me crazy.

I use two different Posterous blogs:

http://a.f2.am/ | For stuff related to animation

http://p.f2.am/ / For stuff related to anything else

Both blogs use the same theme, but only on http://a.f2.am/ I was able to get the correct size for embedded videos, after switching from the 'normal' theme, to a extended 700px version. The videos still don't have 700px but I could life with the size the videos now have. But all videos I posted recently have again the same old size. This is annoying and I start to believe it's a problem with Posterous.

Example for a good post (after I added '<meta name="number:Theme width" content="700"> to the theme):
http://a.f2.am/meet-buck

Example for a bad post (recently added by mail):
http://a.f2.am/paths-of-hate

I tried to post via Chrome extension, Web and Mail but it always post the video in the incorrect, smaller size. Could anyone please explain to me why this happens on both blogs? And photos for example have now a totally wrong size!?

Thank you very much...

That's a good question. I would assume it doesn't have anything to do with the video size itself.

Have you tried allowing a few hours for the posts to resize after adjusting the post width variable?

If so, I would suggest contacting help@posterous.com to see if they can help you debug. It doesn't look like a theming issue and probably relates more to the back-end which they'll be able to better help you with.
