Hello

I've been attempting to build stylize something in posterous like another site out on the web. I really like the look of this site here http://www.target419.com/ (with the acception of the flash post box at the top)...

I realize that I'm not going to get it exact and that's ok. I figured that I'd start with the MAD MEN theme....

...and then tweak it but Its proving more difficult than I thought (for an amature)so i'm reaching out for help. I'd like to state that I'm not looking for someone to do it for me, I simply need to have the sections of the code that I want to effect change in pointed out to me because I can't make heads or tales of it. For instance: what I want to change is the white central column and yet I can't find anywhere in the code that is colored using #ffffff or fff or any variation that I know of.

This is what I'm looking to do and I can't imagine that it's all that difficult if I can just be shown the way...

  • I'd like to have the central column dark gray
  • I'd like to have the area the actual posts content is in be a lighter gray
  • I'd LOVE to have the post content area be framed by a red box that matches the red all ready used over over on the left

P.S.: Eventually I'd also like to the contact info, links, and pages to a footer at the bottom of the blog, much like the footer at the bottom of the contra theme so maybe it would be easier to give this theme dark edges?...

From how it looks like Obox coded that theme, the white part you want to change is inherently white, and thus why you can't find #fff in the css. You can start by adding a background color to #right-column. Maybe #eee or #ccc.
